Three Stripes Alliance 16U boys Final Ratings

Larry Hughes Basketball Academy stepped up in the final and resisted a tremendous comeback effort by a re-energized Team Ramey CCM Red team that was down 41-21 at half time to tie the game at 52 all before losing in the end by a score of 66-57.  It wasn't the only close shave for LHBA as they had to fight hard against Arsensal Hoops Elite in the semis and Team Ramey CCM White in the quarters to win it all.  LHBA had to shoot 60% from the floor and 45% from three against the hot Ramey White team to win 90-77 in a 30 minute game.  When Earl Austin Jr. came by at half time and the score was 54-40, he thought the game was over but there was still a half to play. The nets were smoking hot.  At that point, LHBA had been shooting over 60% from behind the arc.  Both Team Ramey teams were a whole lot of trouble for every team they faced.

The tournament was a great success and was well covered over at Prep Hoops by the esteemed Earl Austin Jr. who watched over 25 hours of games on Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday in Center St. Louis' newly remodeled gyms.  The new floors played well and the officiating was first class.  Overall, Gateway and Center St. Louis put on a great event.
