Prep Hoops Circuit Grind Region Finals 16U Bel Aire Kansas Ratings

I have trying to keep up with all the Prep Hoops Circuit tournaments (if you guys haven't noticed over at Prep Hoops), but it has been a real grind (sic) trying to keep up with all the tournaments.  So many teams and so many games.

Out in Bel Aire last weekend, Team Buddy Buckets took care of "bid-i-ness", knocking off BTR in the final and taking down a much improved St. Louis Blazers team in the semis by nine.  The Blazers seemed to have come out of nowhere in the July period because I did not see much promise from them in the spring.  Play Ball Nation gave BTR a run in the other bracket.

Overall, the tournament was solid but not a spectacular as the Prep Hoops Regional in Bloomington, coming in with an average team rating of 97 and a top ten of 116 compared to 104 and 119 for Bloomington.  Prep Hoops has put on some nice tournaments that have showcased some great teams this summer and Team Buddy Buckets, BTR, PB Nation and St. Louis Blazers have been four great ones.

Here's my ratings.

  1. The SAINT LOUIS BLAZERS, have been in either the championship game, final four or elite 8 every tournament in the last 2 years, I believe you may have saw us at our worst vs. Gateway. But we have actually dominated everywhere we played across the country. But thanks for shouting us out we appreciate the praise.
We also knocked off a great Gateway Jets team in prep hoops St.Louis tournament. Our point guard is one of the best in any class in St.Louis and surrounding areas. look out for a special season this year and for 17U.

    2. Thanks for the heads up. I will look for the Blazers to dominate this coming year.

    3. In my original comments, I was referring to the Recruit Look 2 Kansas City Run in May, where the Blazers were 2-2, losing to a good Hoops Smart and a so-so Pure Prep team. Every team has there ups and downs during a season. Great that the Blazers had more ups than downs and that they finished strong!
