Adidas Gold Gauntlet League 16U Boys AAU team ratings

I thought I would post the Adidas Gold Gauntlet League 16U boys league ratings from April, leading up to the championship round in Birmingham, Alabama this coming week.  I have put the teams in two different tables.  The first table is by division with their respective record and my rating for each team.  In the second table, I have rated all 62 teams together so that you can see the favored teams going into the finale.

Team Lillard heads the field with Indiana Elite and New World close behind. Any of these three teams are fully capable of taking the finale.  Team BBC, Marcus Smart, and Iowa Barnstormers Gold are a half step back, and then the field gets crowded with some really fine teams like Compton Magic, Pack Attack, Mass Rivals, Arkansas Hawks and Game Point.  You could throw a blanket over all these teams and get a quality team by pulling one out.

The Adidas League is probably the best collection of 16U boys teams this summer with the top ten averaging 127 rating and the entire 62 team field rated at a whopping 117.  Most tournaments that I have rated in the past three months are luck to have a top ten with a 115 rating.  Hats off to Adidas for attracting such a strong field.

This doesn't mean they have the best team.  I still see Mokan Elite and Team Durant as the top two teams in the US with Team Takeover and Boo Williams equal to Lillard and New World.  Indiana Elite, who I had rated at the top previously, dropped off with a couple of upset losses to Ohio Basketball Club and Team Loaded VA in the league play.
