UAA 16U rankings

I took a look at the ratings for the 16U UAA league after two sessions and there are some really outstanding teams with Philly Pride, Team Thad and Team Rio leading the way in their respective divisions.

It looks like the strongest division is the Anatomix Division, the division that the talent laden local St. Louis Gateway 16U team is playing in.  Gateway, who ranks in the top 5 St. Louis based teams, if not #1, has struggled with the nationally ranked teams in the Anatomix division, losing by 40+ points to UA G3 Grind, but being competitive with the other teams in the division, just not having much luck, losing their last match-up to a great We R1 team by one.

Overall, the UAA league seems to be more competitive across the board to the Recruit Look League, but there are some top Recruit Look teams that could definitely play in this league, if given the opportunity.  The UAA league is more balanced, top to bottom, with a lot of close games and upsets.  Recruit Look had more blowouts and had a wider range of talent, although there are some great prospects, no matter where you look.  It's just great fun watching these Junior-to-be players.

There are some additional league games on July 11th and 12th, where Gateway will play Houston Defenders, Illinois Wolves, Canada Elite and Wisconsin Playground, I expect that they will win at least two, if not three of those games. I believe they have bracket play the last couple of days.

While Philly Pride has gone undefeated, I think Team Thad or Team Rio might emerge the champion of this league.
