Prep Hoops Midwest Grind Bel Aire, Kansas May 3rd-5th team rankings

I have continued to follow the Prep Hoops circuit and Team Buddy Buckets, in particular, as they move through the Prep Hoops circuit, this time wining at the Midwest Grind in Bel Aire Kansas last weekend.

Buddy Buckets has handily won two or three tournaments, although Team Yobo managed to stay within 8 of them in the final at this tournament.  After the top ten or twelve teams, there was not much depth of quality.  A number of these teams will be competing in the KC Classic this weekend and Team Yobo looks like a potential finalist, given their runner-up spot last weekend.

JULY 14U/8th Grade USA Rankings

I have updated my 14U/8th grade rankings prior to some big tournaments coming up.  The top 25 are all rock solid teams and any one of them could win any of the upcoming tournaments.  I am not going to differentiate the 14U and 8th grade ratings because that would take a whole lot of work to investigate all of the teams that might have 15 or 16 year olds playing on an 8th grade team because they have been held back for academic or other reasons. The Larry Hughes Basketball Academy Select team coached by Eric Bain (my grandson plays for him) is my anchor to these ratings at 100 (now ranked 249).  I have tried to list teams by state but some may be associated with the tournament state that they played in.
