RECRUIT LOOK SESSION ONE TEAM RANKINGS

It was an exciting weekend of action in Elkhorn, Nebraska at the RecruitLook Session One 16U AAU boys basketball tournament with some great talent from the Midwest.  The Nebraska teams, led by OSA Crusaders Adidas with 5 of the top 10 2021 players in Nebraska on their squad, dominating the action.  They played a high tempo game, scoring a 100 points in a 100-80 win over a depleted Larry Hughes Basketball Academy squad that was missing both their starting center, 6'9" Sam Thompson, and back-up.  Iowa Barnstormers Gold was also on fire along with Team Nebraska Express and Team Factory.  Both SW Illinois Jets teams looked strong.

So, I have had 2500 page views since I started the 14U youth basketball ranking blog.  The interesting stat is that many of the views are from countries outside of the US. JULY 14U/8th Grade USA Rankings

I have updated my 14U/8th grade rankings prior to some big tournaments coming up.  The top 25 are all rock solid teams and any one of them could win any of the upcoming tournaments.  I am not going to differentiate the 14U and 8th grade ratings because that would take a whole lot of work to investigate all of the teams that might have 15 or 16 year olds playing on an 8th grade team because they have been held back for academic or other reasons. The Larry Hughes Basketball Academy Select team coached by Eric Bain (my grandson plays for him) is my anchor to these ratings at 100 (now ranked 249).  I have tried to list teams by state but some may be associated with the tournament state that they played in.
