Prep Hoops 16U Rankings GrindsZN Kick-off OKC April 5-7th

I found a little time to analyze the Kick-off of the Prep Hoops GrindsZN 16U tournament in Oklahoma City last weekend.  There are some excellent teams in this Prep Hoops showcase and Team Griffin, a top 100 team last year, took away the gold, beating a fine Team Buddy Buckets Elite team that I have not seen in past season rankings.  Kansas Pray N Play, Oklahoma Power and St. Louis' own Gateway were also in the mix.  Team Griffin has improved about 15 rating points over last year whereas many of the others seem to be at about the same rating from last year.

These teams congregate in St. Louis for the next session in late May (24-26th) so it will be interesting to come out and watch them.

An interesting aside, I was contacted by a second cousin on my Dad's mothers side, who is a couple of years older than me, after he checked my tree out on Ancestry.com.  We have exchanged emails and it turns out he has two grandsons playing for 2020 and 2022 H&H Elite in Edmonds, Oklahoma.  I think the 2022 team will be in St. Louis so I am trying to get my 2021 grandson to go out and meet his fourth cousin.  How often do you get to do that?  Oh well, we probably pass a fourth or fifth cousin on the street every day.  When I married my wife, that same grandmother figured out that my wife's brother was married to my fourth cousin.  I couldn't stop the wedding.  It's been almost 49 years but she says "you ain't made it yet".

Genealogists claim that all men get their common DNA from a pre-historic man 20,000 years ago in Africa (today's Ethiopia).  Most women get their DNA from a pre-historic woman who died 40,000 years ago in the same area.  Adam and Eve didn't even live in the same garden.

We are all related in some way.
