20th Annual Gateway All American 16U tournament rankings

Hats off to the Marcus Denmon Elite, who won the 16U division of the 20th Annual Gateway All American 16U tournament this weekend.  Marcus Denmon Elite had a rough weekend at Recruit Look last week, going 1-3 against tougher competition, including a close loss to one of the top ranked Nebraska 16U squads, OSA Crusaders Adidas, which has 5 top ranked 2021 Nebraska players and several from Iowa on their roster.  Denmon edged Team Ramey CCM Red in the finals.  Here's my  rankings, which I am slowly building into a Midwest posting at a later time.   I just need more tournaments to get an accurate reading on team strengths:

JULY 14U/8th Grade USA Rankings

I have updated my 14U/8th grade rankings prior to some big tournaments coming up.  The top 25 are all rock solid teams and any one of them could win any of the upcoming tournaments.  I am not going to differentiate the 14U and 8th grade ratings because that would take a whole lot of work to investigate all of the teams that might have 15 or 16 year olds playing on an 8th grade team because they have been held back for academic or other reasons. The Larry Hughes Basketball Academy Select team coached by Eric Bain (my grandson plays for him) is my anchor to these ratings at 100 (now ranked 249).  I have tried to list teams by state but some may be associated with the tournament state that they played in.
